industrial silencers Ventx Industrial Silencers are designed to meet our customers' specific requirements. As Vent silencers and In-Line silencers are seldom a catalogue selection, at Ventx each industrial silencer is designed to suit the customer requirements. So whether you are venting steam, air or another gas Ventx will help with a positive solution, and provide an Industrial Silencer to do the job.
The Ventx industrial silencer design can provide a back pressure which reduces valve noise and can help when selecting a valve. This is why our silencer inlets are always designed and manufactured with reference to a design code.
Ventx only use good quality materials in the construction of our industrial silencers, each unit is manufactured to withstand the thermal shock produced by the high pressures and temperatures when venting. We offer units in either Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel materials. All silencers fabricated by Ventx Industrial Silencers are designed to meet our customers' specific requirements.
All silencers are fabricated by an Experienced and Qualified workforce and all our Industrial Silencers are guaranteed for performance and build quality. Our vent silencers and in-line silencers are all manufactured in the UK, and Customer inspection is always welcome.

Your requirement is our challenge, so no matter what gas you might be venting try us for a quotation.
Our model range
Silencer design is constrained by the flow conditions and the overall performance required. Ventx design each silencer to reduce the noise level to the required sound pressure level specified by the customer. First we need to predict the venting valve noise, which is determined by the process conditions.
Ventx Industrial Silencers have a basic design principle that enables us to supply the best solution for the customer.
The following are the types of units available:
Model VDS
Atmospheric Vent Discharge Industrial Silencer. This uses a combination of diffuser design and an absorptive core section. The gas or steam enter the silencer through a multi-hole diffuser where it is permitted to expand through many holes into the expansion chamber.
These units can be designed to be mounted Vertically or Horizontally, available with optional Bird Screens and Weather-Hoods.
Model CDS
Control Valve Silencer. This design of silencer employs the same principle of acoustic design as a vent silencer. This type of silencer is usually designed to a pressure code, and are used extensively in natural gas and hydrocarbon lines. Ventx offer to design to ASME B31.3, ASME VIII or PD5500 pressure codes.
Model DLS
Direct In-Line Silencer. These are designed to produce as little pressure loss as possible, but achieve the required attenuation using only an absorptive section. Ventx design this type of silencer to ensure a low pressure loss. These units are often found on Compressor Inlet and Outlets and can be designed to a suitable Pressure Code.
Direct In-Line Silencers can be supplied as a simple acoustic core for inserting into the customer's pipe work or vessel.
Model SES & GES
Steam or Gas Ejector Silencer. This type of silencer is specifically designed for use with Steam or HydrocarbonGas Ejectors. Ventx calculate the ejector noise and flow mixture.
